French manufacturer Renault has just announced the first limited edition Megane, the so-called TomTom Edition which will become available in France in September 2009. Nevertheless, consumers can place their pre-orders from July 15, with prices starting at 20,550 euros for the 1.6-liter 16V 110 bioethanol E85 and going as high as 24,350 euros fro the dCi 130 FAP.
The limited edition is based on the Expression trim level and, just like its name suggests, it boasts integrated Carminat TomTom navigation. Additionally, hands-free ignition, 16-inch alloy wheels and dark-hued interior trim is also offered as standard. Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with ASR traction control and CSV understeer control, Plug & Music audio connectivity, the City Pack (front and rear parking proximity sensors plus electric folding exterior mirrors), the Premium Pack (electric panoramic opening sunroof and extra-tinted rear glass) and the metallic paints are all available as options.
The interior feature dark cloth upholstery, dark charcoal and grey dashboard as well as gloss black trimming strips and air vents. The steering wheel, the stick shift and the parking handle are all trimmed in leather.
There are six metallic colors available on the limited edition Megane, as it follows: Ecume Blue, Eclipse Grey, Cassiopee Grey, Platine Grey, Cendre Beige and Pearlescent Black (non-metallic Glacier White can be ordered at no extra charge).
