Renault continues its special edition frenzy with some new versions of the Clio and Megane that will be unveiled at the World Series by Renault in Silverstone on the weekend of 4th and 5th July. Just like expected since we're dealing with special editions, the Renault Clio and Megane World Series feature exclusive and limited tweaks, beside the ones already available on the stock models.
Specifically, the Clio World Series is based on the Dynamique trim level but adds extra equipment with savings for the customer of up to 1,190 pounds. Feature highlights include an extended front spoiler, side skirts, a sports rear bumper and the obvious WSR badging. There are three engine configurations available, the 1.2-liter 16V developing 75 horsepower, TCe 100 and dCi 86. Pricing starts at 12,170 pounds.
As for the Megane Hatch World Series, it is also based on the Dynamique five-door version but also brings an extended front spoiler, Coupé-style bumper inserts, side skirts, a sports rear bumper, rear spoiler, WSR badging and 17-inch alloy wheels. There are only two engine options available, a 1.6-liter 16V developing 110 horsepower and the dCi 106, both of them mated to a six-speed transmission. Prices start at 16,595 pounds, which translates into a consumer saving of up to 1,190 pounds over the price of the equipment if it were ordered separately.
Last but not least, the Megane Coupe World Series by Renault comes with an extended front spoiler, side skirts, sports rear bumper and 17-inch alloy wheels. Prices for this particular model start at 16,995 pounds, a buyer saving of up to 940 pounds.
