Renault Megane Sport Tourer UK Pricing Announced

The newest addition to the Megane range, the Sport Tourer version, will head for the UK this summer. The tenth Renault model to be launched this year will be priced in between £15,485 to £22,785, making it some £300 less expensive than some of its rivals like Ford Focus Estate or the Vauxhall Astra Estate.

Megane Sport Tourer's four engines will boast some new additions, including the 1.4l TCe (Turbo Control Efficiency), which develops 130 hp and the 140 hp 2.0 VVT CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). To complete the range, the 2.0 dCi (160 hp) FAP and 2.0 TCe (180 hp) are offered on the Sport Tourer.

The range for the Sport Tourer starts with the Expression, priced at £15,485. It comes with 4×15W RDS radio CD, air conditioning, front and rear curtain airbags, ESP, electric windows, keyless car with Renault card and longitudinal roof bars.

The Dynamique adds 16-inch alloys wheels, automatic lights and wipers, Bluetooth and MP3 connection, hands-free Renault card and leather steering wheel. The top of the line Privilege provides dual-zone climate control, electric folding mirrors, electro-chrome rear view mirror and rear armrest with storage.

In addition to the three versions, Renault will also add a TomTom Edition, based on the Dynamique. In addition to the features of the latter, it adds, for an additional £360, Renault's Carminat TomTom. Taken separately, as an option, the system will cost £450.
