Renault UK is understandably excited about its first crossover. The Captur is an interesting car for British buyers because it targets their favorite market segment: superminis. Although technically a crossover, the model also has the practicality of an MPV and we think it looks miles better than the Modus.
The first UK market commercial for the Captur is beautifully simple. It tells us to get out more and enjoy life, put dow the video camera and just experience nature's beauty.
The Captur is a slightly stretched and stilted version of the Clio. Its customization options are just as interesting and even include different colored roof and trim. The cabin should be familiar to Clio drivers, with the console and steering wheel pulled off its supermini cousin. This crossover also has the save super-light controls which make driving very easy but not very engaging. It is, however, not a forgettable vehicle.
