It looks like a rebodied concept, sounds like a Formula One car from the 90s and goes like one as well. Yes, it the Renault Alpine celebration concept, built to commemorate 50 years since the original A110. And yes, this is the very first official footage of the car, racing flicks shot at the Mortefontaine racetrack.
The race car is basically a combination of the DeZir Concept and the technology developed for the Renault Megane V6 race car, meaning it’s got a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine with 400 PS, something no boring French car offers right now. (except Bugatti, who’s Veyron has twice as many cylinders).

If the Dieppe factory ever rolls this sort of body, modified to suite regular road conditions, we’ll be the first on the buying list if it sounds even 50 percent as good as this thing!

“Produced with the renowned expertise of Renault Sport Technologies, the Renault Alpine A 110-50 concept car is imbued with the world of motorsport. It benefits from the experience gained from the racing Mégane Trophy by using the same technical platform,” Renault says.
