Smack in the middle of the lineup between the base Envision Preferred and the ritzy Envision Avenir sits the 2024 Buick Envision ST, which starts at $39,795 - and the US automaker just released more pictures of it.
Continuing its model revamp that has already covered the entry-level $22,400 Envista and $25,600 Encore GX, Buick last year announced in June the impending arrival of the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision. It flaunted the new looks along with the updated logo, and while the exterior changes are subtle, the interior features a revolution with help from a massive, "segment-leading 30-inch-diagonal, ultra-wide display that stretches from the center console to the gauge cluster and offers customizable freeform screens under one sheet of glass."

The new exterior and interior were mixed with additional features like the "most standard safety and driver assistance features of any Buick ever" and standard AWD across all trims. However, the 2024 Envision will need around a year since it was announced to make it across nationwide dealerships – Buick has decided to reveal in a recent product update that it is expected to become available this summer. Well, at least now we know all the juicy details (check out the encompassing press release embedded below), including what is under the hood and the pricing.

The revamped 2024 Envision comes with Buick's 2.0-liter EcoTec turbocharged mill paired with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. It churns out 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and should make the CUV zippy without giving too many headaches to the premium five-link front and rear suspension with Continuous Damping Control (CDC) technology, which is standard on the flagship Avenir grade. Speaking of trims, let us check out the damage to the bank account.

While Chevrolet has also launched the fourth-generation 2025 Chevrolet Equinox, there are no pricing details for that one yet. So, let's just compare the 2024 Envision – which costs $37,295 for Preferred, $39,795 for ST, and $48,395 for Avenir, with the current model and the GMC Terrain. As it turns out, the 2023 Envision starts from $34,795 for Preferred, $38,895 for Essence, and $47,055 for Avenir – but it's not refreshed and also only available with front-wheel drive.

So, the 2024 Envision is a much better deal, especially the ST and Avenir trims, where the pricing difference is marginal. On the other hand, the fresh GMC Terrain is more rugged and cheaper – it kicks off at $31,695 for the SLE AWD and tops out at $39,995 for the Denali AWD. If you want our two cents on the matter and can live without the massive 30-inch digital screen offered on the Buick, it would be easy to select a more rugged GMC Terrain AT4 ($36,890) and be done with it.
