America is finally able to join in the excitement of the Audi RS6 Avant, which is not only one of the fastest German family cars, but also quite a looker. And it seems this has sparked interest from the muscle car-loving community, as more and more renders portray the Mustang or Camaro as RS-bodied wagons.
It's a really strange concept. After all, what does Audi have in common with muscle cars? Nothing at all. But a few months ago, somebody made the Camaro face swap and the ball really got rolling. Only yesterday, we showed you this Shelby GT500 abomination. However, the work of Rostislav Prokop is different from everybody else.
Where others simply used their Photoshop skills to create a photo, he made a wagon 3D model and placed it in a real environment. It's the kind of thing that can trick people into thinking the Camaro family car exists. But no, the ZL1 RS6 isn't real, and can't hurt you.
The middle portion of the car is obviously German; you can tell from the way the windows are shaped. However, not even the RS6's ultra-wide fenders were enough for Rostislav, who wanted boxy proportions for his family hauler. The view from the back is especially interesting, as vents are created to channel air from the wheels, just like on a race car. It's a bit much, but we know how much the ZL1 1LE loves track spec.
The brooding front end of the track-focused Camaro, rich in aero elements, also seems to fit the RS6 Avant quite well. As for the lowering effect you see at the beginning of the video, Air Lift Performance might be the sponsor behind this creative power wagon.
Chevy's V8 muscle machine is loosely connected to the last great American wagon, the Cadillac CTS-V. These long-roofed models used to be really popular with buyers. But wagons currently represent only about 1.5% of the market, and that's with the Subaru Outback (unfairly) being taken into consideration.
