Remember the whole ordeal YouTube vlogger StangMode went through with his upgraded Shelby GT500 that ended up with around 1,000-horsepower worth of blown engine?! Well, he’s not sweating too much on losing quite a big chunk of cash in the process, because he’s got a new Mustang toy to fiddle with.
Granted, going from the pinnacle of the Ford, Shelby, and Mustang association (a.k.a. the GT500) to a regular Ford Mustang GT is not exactly a step forward. On the other hand, the “Bat-Stang” does have a few tricks up its formerly yellow sleeves.

For example, the Ford Mustang GT that was once yellow is now a matte gray example sporting a ProCharger Stage II kit and other upgrades under the hood, while the body has been treated to a crude-looking widebody kit. Yes, it does fit the rowdy persona of its owner.

And StangMode does have a personality; we’ll give him that. For example, his Mustang GT now has two different types of front seats – one that’s better looking for the passenger and one that’s more comfortable for the driver. And that’s not all, because the Bat-Stang is also bagged!

After just completing the ProCharger Stage II upgrade (we have that video embedded below, as well), the Bat-Stang is being taken for the first time to the drag strip to find out a little more about its new performance credentials.

And, because we’re dealing with StangMode, he’s also called a friend to accompany him on the way with his brand-new Dodge Charger – which is, of course, all they need to engage in some friendly street racing. Which, by the way, we don’t condone as they should have settled the bill at the drag strip.

Anyway, once there, the Bat-Stang meets (but doesn’t compete against) a professionally built Shelby GT500. The latter easily dips into the low nine seconds on the quarter-mile, nailing a 9.16-second run at over 159 mph (almost 256 kph).

The Bat-Stang, on the other hand, is nowhere near that performance (which is to be expected, given the odd tuning job), as it only manages to dip below the 13-second figure with 12.79 seconds at 120 mph (193 kph).
