We said it before, and we’ll say it again: Dodge is a mere shadow of its former self. The company that operates under Stellantis' roof recently dropped the old Challenger and Charger. Thus, the only two models it currently makes are the aging Durango and the Hornet, which is a rebadged Alfa Rome Tonale.
But the future looks bright for this brand, at least when it comes to the muscle car segment, as they're not letting it go. If anything, their upcoming Charger (that's the reported name of Dodge's next muscle car) is said to be due at the end of 2024, and rumor has it that it will feature both EV and ICE power – and probably a stick shift option, too.

The brand's dealers still have many copies of the Challenger and Charger in stock, hence why the two models remain listed on the automaker's U.S. website. The four-door muscle car comes from $35,325 in the base SXT version, and the all-wheel drive variant will set interested parties back at least $38,925 before destination. It packs a 300 hp 3.6L V6 and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Priced from $38,025 with RWD and $41,025 with AWD, the GT uses the same powertrain. The most affordable V8 is in the R/T trim level, which has a $45,065 MSRP. This model packs a 5.7L V8 with 370 hp. The Scat Pack and Scat Pack Widebody, which carry respective MSRPs of $51,925 and $57,920, pack a 485 hp 6.4L V8.

Topping the family are the SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak and SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak, which start at $85,765 and $94,365, respectively. Getting the former means enjoying 717 horsepower from a 6.2L supercharged V8, whereas the latter uses a punchier version of the same motor, boasting 797 horsepower. And if you have a soft spot for the Charger Hellcat, then you are in the right place, as you're about to watch a POV driving video of the 717-horsepower Jailbreak.

Uploaded online recently, the video embedded below is a little over 15 minutes long and shows the four-door muscle car being driven at night. Mind you, it's not the usual review, as the only sound you'll hear is from the magnificent V8 that it packs under the hood. Thus, the soundtrack wasn't disturbed by the person holding the wheel, who only focused on the driving part, refraining from making all sorts of comments that would've probably made the footage less exciting.

So, if you wanted a sign that you should take a short break and perhaps open a bag of chips, then this is it. All you have to do now is scroll down a bit and hit the play button. Don't forget to turn up the volume, as that V8 sounds awesome. But you already knew that.
