A series of potential patent drawings previewing future SEAT models have surfaced on the web, being posted on the Spanish decoes blog.
However, the pictures are not accompanied by any piece of information. So neither the source of the images nor details about the presented models are offered. The pictures were also investigated by the carscoop.blogspot.com website, which checked the European patent office’ web resources. Want to guess what the result was? Nothing.
This means that we cant’s be sure if the drawings belong to the Spanish brand in VW Group’s portfolio or if they were created by an independent artist willing to offer the world his vision of what the SEAT family identity should mean.
Well, we have to move on and discuss the possible future SEAT vehicles. The list starts with the revised version of the Altea Multi Purpose Vehicle, which could enter the market later this year. This is followed by a vehicle that seems to be the SC (sports coupe - this means sporty three door hatchback in SEAT language) version of the Leon compact. The next vehicle might be a reworked Audi TT (this seems rather unlikely, as it would be too close to the model on which it is based on). The list also includes the SEAT incarnation of the Audi A5 sportback. As we reported, the niche segment mid-size vehicle’s renderings have recently been published by a blog with no related information.
We have no alternative but to wait and see if SEAT’s range will become much richer, receiving the aforementioned vehicles, or if the entire story was just an artist’s play.
