Seat, the Spanish brand in the Volkswagen Group’s portfolio is currently making efforts to reach the profit zone. The company is following a plan that should bring it to the profit zone in five years time.
This is why the automotive producer is trying to minimize development costs for new models, a pathway that was debuted with the introduction of the Exeo model, which is basically a reworked previous generation Audi A4.
Now, it seems that the automaker is preparing to use the same strategy, but for a niche segment of the market. Seat could be developing a vehicle based on the Audi A5 Sportback, as revealed by these images that seem to be patent office fillings.

The vehicle in the images uses the A5 Sportback’s overall shape and ads specific Seat details. At the front of the car we find a grille resembling that used by the Seat Leon model and a front bumper that is inspired from the design used by Audi quattro models. However, the headlight design comes very close to the one used by Infiniti.
At the rear of the vehicle, we can see an interesting taillight design. The rear bumper houses a diffuser and two tailpipes.
