There are phrases and descriptors and taglines that always get attention and that eventually prove tailor-made for landing a buyer as well. "Porsche's spaceship on water," "Porsche's first megayacht," and "the world's only luxury catamaran created by Porsche" are not among them.
A few years ago, the designers behind Studio F.A. Porsche created a luxury superyacht unlike any other without a single shred of exaggeration: Royal Falcon One.

Though billed as a "megayacht," it has nothing in common with this size category except for the outrageous, highly unique styling. Royal Falcon One is a futuristic catamaran, so a twin-hull vessel that boasts enhanced interior volume, extra stability under operation, and the smoothest at-sea experience possible.

Its size, of 41 meters (134.5 feet) in total length on water, is not enough to qualify it for the superyacht category, but its design and luxury finishes certainly are. Royal Falcon One is a high-performance, good-looking, and super-fancy private vessel worthy of the Porsche association.

Imagine then how no one seems to be in a rush to buy it. Royal Falcon One was completed in 2019 by Kockums AB as part of the Royal Falcon Fleet, on naval architecture by Incat Crowther. It has since repeatedly failed to secure an owner despite several price cuts.

It was initially listed in 2019 for an undisclosed amount and received its first major discount in February 2022: "several" millions cheaper, it was then asking $26.6 million. By May of that year, the asking price had dropped to $24.2 million.

As it turns out, Royal Falcon One has remained on the market ever since. As much as millionaires love a good bargain, this was not it. Now listed with Gordon Brothers, this beautiful cat will go for sale at auction at an unspecified date.

Even if this leisure craft seems to have had some trouble finding an owner, that's not to say it's not a most notable build. That goes beyond its association with Porsche or any exaggeration that turns it into a "megayacht" on paper.

Royal Falcon One boasts a very shallow draft that grants it access closer to shore than similarly-sized vessels, while its dual hull construction means it offers an interior volume you'd normally find on a much longer vessel: 492 GT of interior space.

Accommodation onboard is for 10 guests in a master suite, a VIP, and three other staterooms, while amenities range from a gorgeous beach club to ample outdoor spaces, just perfect for tanning, socializing, and relaxing.

Performance is nothing to scoff at, either. The cat's twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L engines take it to a top speed of 37 knots (42.5 mph/68.5 kph), while a more economy-focused speed of 10 knots (11.5 mph/18.5 kph) will enable a range of 2,250 nautical miles (2,590 miles/4,167 km).
