Pharrell Williams is on the list of celebrities who got their hands on a Tesla Cybertruck. He is driving, like everyone else so far, the Foundation Series, the first to roll off the production line at Giga Texas.
The artist was spotted in Miami District Design as he was trying to park his Cybertruck. Maneuvering it in place seemed to cause him quite a headache. He wasn’t able to squeeze it between two cars in parallel parking . So he just left it there, in the first lane of the street, as onlookers laughed, photographed, and filmed the embarassing moment.

Pharrell Williams had to attend the debut of his Spring-Summer 2024 collection at the Louis Vuitton store in Miami, where he is a creative director of menswear. So, he decided to make quite an entrance and had just the right car for it.

The brand-new Tesla Cybertruck caused a stir in front of the Melrose Avenue location of the fashion house. It was also because the "Happy" singer was not that happy about his parking spot. He eventually gave up, put the hazard lights on, left the car in the middle of the street, and walked into the store.

The Cybertruck monolith is not quite easy to move around in tight spaces as it is 223.7 inches (5,682 millimeters) long, 80 inches (2,032 millimeters) wide, sporting a height of 70.5 (1,791 millimeters), with the rear visibility quite poor. But, of course, it is loaded with sensors and cameras that should make moving it around much easier. Not for Pharell, though.

The shots from Miami showed up on social media, where users questioned why celebrities get their Cybertrucks this fast while others have not even been contacted by Tesla and asked to configure their vehicles.

We are not aware of a strategy that favors celebrities. What we do know, though, is that Tesla contacted several potential buyers who had reserved a pickup truck by paying either the $100 deposit which was required at the beginning or the $250 one which became mandatory later on.

They were asked if they were willing to pay $120,000 for the first batch of Cybertrucks, the Foundation Series, that would roll off the production line. Many declined the offer, though. Back in 2019, the EV was supposed to start at $39,900. Now, the model starts at $69,990, still way more expensive than the original offering.

Pharell Williams is one of the celebrities that have already got their hands on the long-awaited Cybertruck, but he was not among the first ten to get it during the handover event that took place at Giga Texas, on November 30.

The Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and his wife, tennis star Serena Williams, have already received their EV and have been spotted driving it around.

Jay Leno was also seen driving one, but he admitted that it was just for filming an episode of his Jay Leno's Garage show. Furthermore, film director Spike Lee revealed that he is also on the reservation list.

No matter the degree of celebrity on board, no matter the name of the driver, the Cybertruck can’t possibly avoid the spotlight and keep a low profile. Tesla's Investor Relations chief, Martin Viecha, said it is the "most otherworldly, most badass, most head-turning car money can buy." Nobody can argue with that yet.
