Following its impressive, record-breaking win at Pikes Peak last month, the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak was clocked with the fastest time at the 2013 Goodwood hill climb as well.
Manhandled by Peugeot Sport test-driver Gregory Guilvert, the 208 T16 lapped the Goodwood course in 45.86 seconds, sharing the top spot with the Nick Heidfeld-driven Lola B12/60 Group C prototype. Despite being the fastest car at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Peugeot 208 T16 was still four seconds off the Goodwood hill climb record set in 1998 at 41.6 sseconds.

As a reminder, the 208 T16 Pikes Peak race car is powered by a twin-turbo V6 engine that produces a massive 875 hp, delivered to all four wheels. It has a power to weight ratio of 1-to-1, which means it also weighs 875 kg.

Late last month, the Peugeot 208 T16 set a new benchmark at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb by completing the famed course in only 8 minutes and 13.878 seconds.
