This customer waited for his Cybertruck to be delivered by Tesla for over three years, but his dream was soon going to turn into a nightmare. He received the vehicle back in March and has been having issues with it since the very beginning. Now, he wants to give it back to Tesla and asks the automaker to give a new one.
Lamar's Cybertruck spent more time in service than in his driveway. He had to have it fixed three times in the first two months the truck has been in his possession. All this time, he only got to drive it for two weeks. The rest of the time, the electric pickup truck was stuck in the repair shop.

Lamar says he paid $100,000 and got it delivered nearly two months ago. Two weeks later, the vehicle started causing him a headache. At first, during the first road trip, it simply refused to charge. He contacted the Tesla Service Center and made an appointment.

They had the issue fixed and Lamar drove it home, hoping that it was the first and last problem with this Cybertruck. But the vehicle failed to meet his expectations. Next up, the wall connector charger that he got with the Cybertruck stopped working. "Every time I drive it, something seems to break," the owner complains. "I don't want to live in constant fear."

He contacted the Tesla Service Center again. They told him they didn't know when they would be able to give him another one. Until then, he won't be able to charge both of his Teslas at home.

Meanwhile, his Cybertruck failed him again. He handed it over to the Tesla engineers and it remained in service for three whole weeks. The day he got it back, it malfunctioned again. So, he took it back the following day.

He drove it home several days later and then back to the service shop again, where it is currently trapped. Weird error codes showing up on the screen are the issues the experts are trying to fix this time.

Fed up with going back and forth from home to the service and back again, on a five-hour drive, Lamar wants to give his Cybertruck back to Tesla and receive a new one. "Just give me a new truck that actually works. I cannot live in a service center," Lamar wrote in a post on X, on the verge of losing his patience.

He goes on to explain that, under the NC Lemon Law, he has the option to choose between a buyback or a replacement. And a replacement is what he would go for. His truck is an early 2000 VIN, so he hopes that newer ones have had all those issues fixed. He wants the new truck delivered to the Raleigh service center as soon as possible.

YouTuber Lamar MK documented his ownership of the Cybertruck since day one. Followers could see how he went from enthusiasm to complete disappointment and desperation within weeks.

He complained about his Cybertruck being plagued with malfunctions both on YouTube and X. On the social media platform, he tagged Elon Musk as well as several executives, hoping to get their attention. So far, it has not worked and he is left with a "lemon."
