Russelsheim is up to some tricks this April Fools, playing on football fans' love for the sport to pull an amazing if a bit dry prank.
Described as being "as Brazilian as Pelé and as German as Jürgen Klopp", the new Opel Astra Copacabana is supposedly a brand new model which goes on sale tomorrow, April 1st, from the measly price of €24,444.

For that money, football fans will surely get a lot, not just just under the bonnet, where a "new 200 hp/147 kW 1.6 Turbo gasoline engine is just waiting to be let loose", but also inside the cabin. The grass is always greener on the other side? Not with this car, which has been upholstered in the stuff. Meanwhile, the floor mats are replaced with finest Copacabana sand, complimented by a pair of free grass flip-flops for your tootsies to enjoy.

Just as Brazil will host this summer's big games, so too will the Copacabana display its heritage with a cool South American theme featuring the famed flag and a few football references. If you ask it nicely enough it will probably even teach you how to dance the Samba.

And to top it all off, the horn gets you in the mood with a bit of Vuvuzela action while a vending machine dispenses free ice cold Caipirinhas during the drive.
