The Ram 1500 TRX continues to wow the petrolhead crowd more than three years after its official unveiling and despite being on its dying bed, with the aptly named Final Edition sending it off.
Previewed by the 2016 Rebel TRX Concept, the Ram 1500 TRX is one badass workhorse. It boasts numerous modifications over the rest of the series, like the wider stance, unique grille, 18-inch wheels shod in 35-inch all-terrain tires, steel bumpers, underbody protection, and additional upgrades that will come in handy on arduous tracks.

An independent front and new rear suspension with adaptive damping, a Dana 60 rear axle for more wheel travel, and a full-time active transfer case are also on deck. According to Ram, the 1500 TRX has a 32-inch (813 mm) wading depth, a 30.2-degree approach angle, a 23.5-degree departure angle, and a 21.9-degree breakover angle. It also features a special system that detects when it is airborne, modifying various parameters for optimum performance.

The Hellcat-powered truck uses the famous motor, a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The lump channels 702 hp (712 ps/524 kW) and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque to the four-wheel drive system through an upgraded eight-speed automatic transmission. The 1500 TRX has a 118 mph (190 kph) top speed, the ability to hit 60 mph (97 kph) in 4.5 seconds, and is a 12.9-second vehicle down the quarter mile with a 108 mph (174 kph) exit speed.

Over the last three years, we have seen multiple modified copies. Some of them are basically over-powered grocery getters, whereas others have become even more potent off the beaten path. The blue example pictured in the gallery above is part of the latter crowd. It features a new heavy-duty bumper with an integrated LED light bar and appears to have a slightly increased ground clearance.

Should you ask carlifestyle on Instagram, the account that shared these images online a couple of days ago, what the selling point of this supertruck is, they will probably say the wheels. Made by 4Play, they feature a concave design with a Y-spoke styling, have a black look, and were shod in chunky rubber that should not affect the vehicle's traction on slippery and/or sticky surfaces compared to the stock ones.

There are no other additional details available when it comes to this Ram 1500 TRX, so we're probably looking at the stock firepower and likely an untouched interior. The 2024 model is still listed on the carmaker's official US website, carrying a starting price of $96,585 before the $1,995 destination fee. Should you want the 1500 TRX Final Edition, whose production is said to be limited at 4,000 copies, then you will have to pay at least $117,625, excluding destination.
