The Ram 1500 TRX is going away with a bang, and that bang is called the Final Edition. It brings additional goodies over the rest of the family and retains the heart and soul, namely that fabulous Hellcat motor.
With a 6.2-liter displacement and assisted by a supercharger, the power unit is capable of pushing out a four-digit output, yet the Ram 1500 TRX has to make do with less than that. It has 702 hp (712 ps/523 kW) to play with and 650 pound-feet (881 Nm) of torque.

It is never polite to ask a truck how fast it is to sixty (97 kph), but the Ram 1500 TRX makes an exception. It needs 4.5 seconds to hit there and has a 118 mph or 190 kph top speed. As for the quarter mile, it is a 12.9-second affair, so it can definitely keep up with certain muscle cars – albeit not the Hellcat series, nor Chevy's Camaro ZL1 and Ford's fabulous previous-gen Mustang Shelby GT500.

But what about a less spec of the pony car made by the Dearborn company? Due to the filming angle of the video that you are about to watch, it is almost impossible to make out the configuration of the said Mustang. However, we think it may be the GT, which has far less power than Ram's super truck but behaves similarly in a straight-line sprint.

If it really is the Mustang GT, then it rocks a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8. The mill is good for 450 hp (456 ps/336 kW) without anyone tampering with it and develops 410 lb-ft (556 Nm) of torque. On a good day, and with someone skilled holding the wheel, this model takes just under four seconds to sprint from naught to sixty miles per hour.

Naturally, it is the 'Stang that holds the upper ground here, but could it really be a flawless victory for this machine against the 1500 TRX? At a little over a minute long, the video posted below, shot at the Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania, apparently during the RaceMotive event, will answer this question, so you're only one mouse click away from finding out.

But don't go scrolling down yet, as we have to tell you that this isn't the only drag race that you will watch in the said clip. No, sir (or ma'am), as the Ram was also filmed trying its luck against other vehicles, including an old Honda Civic and a bad@ss Audi. So, does it have what it takes to come out on top, or was it beaten by its ad-hoc rivals? We won't ruin the outcome by revealing the winner(s), so you know what to do next, don't you?
