It is the beginning of the end of the Ram 1500 TRX, and the carmaker is giving it a proper send-off by unveiling the Final Edition. It is the final pickup truck version with a HEMI engine.
It is, therefore, the last chance for customers to get their hands on a HEMI-powered Ram 1500 TRX. That is if they don't get discouraged by the impossible-to-remember-designation of the special version: 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition.

The model comes with the 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8, the engine set to step down by the end of 2023 to make room for downsizing and electrification.

Based on the 1500 TRX, one of the world's most powerful pickup trucks, the 2024 Ram 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition gets the standard 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Those are enough for a run from 0 to 60 mph (0-97 kph) in 4.5 seconds, while the pickup truck does the quarter mile in 12.9 seconds at 108 mph (174 kph). Top speed goes all the way to 118 mph (190 kph). The engine transfers resources to all four corners via the TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

Only 4,000 examples will roll off the assembly line for the 2024 model year in eight exterior colors, with three of them being new and unique: the Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue, and Harvest Sunrise. The carmaker promises more customization options. Satin Titanium bead-lock capable wheels with matching 6.2-liter hood badge and bed decal are on the menu.

Patina stitching shows up on the dashboard and seats, while there is an embroidered TRX logo on the back of the seats. The future owners of the Final Edition will also get the cluster splash screen, ultra-premium center console badge displaying the number of the build, plus the passenger-side TRX dashboard badge in Satin Titanium finish.

There are Triaxle-suede door panel inserts as well. Ram covered up the instrument panel, doors, center console, and steering wheel in 4x4 weave matte carbon fiber. The 19-inch Harman Kardon premium sound system, the Head-Up Display, and digital rear-view mirror enhance the high-tech ambiance on board.

Tim Kuniskis, Ram brand CEO, says that it may look like the end, but the story of the TRX is far from over. More news will come, he announces and probably refers to a future pickup truck coming with some sort of electrification and a downsized engine, the likes of the V6 Hurricane that Dodge resorts to, in order to replace the HEMI V8.

But until that happens, the RAM 1500 TRX 6.2L Supercharged V8 - Final Edition will be ready for order in the fourth quarter of 2023, with a starting price of $117,625, plus the $1,995 destination fee.
