The Nissan Ariya has just stepped into the 2024 model year in Canada, with the automaker announcing the pricing details for every trim level available north of the U.S. border.
The lineup comprises the Engage FWD, Evolve e-4ORCE (AWD), Evolve+ FWD, Evolve+ e-4ORCE, and Evolve+ e-4ORCE w/Platinum+ Package. Pricing starts at CA$52,998 (US$39,432) for the entry-level, which makes it some US$3,700 more affordable than the Engage FWD sold in our market.

A quick look on Nissan's website reveals that the most affordable version of the Ariya comes with dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, an intelligent key, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, satellite radio, heated front and rear seats, and multiple safety gizmos. Power is supplied by a 221 hp (224 ps/165 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque motor fed by a 63 kWh battery pack that gives it a 348-kilometer (216-mile) range.

Getting the Evolve e-4ORCE means paying at least CA$59,998 (US$43,641). This model uses the same battery pack, yet due to the AWD capability and extra oomph, rated at 335 hp (340 ps/250 kW) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm) combined, the driving range drops to 330 km (205 miles). The Evolve+ FWD (front-wheel drive) uses an 87 kWh battery pack that feeds a 238 hp (241 ps/178 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque motor, enabling a range of 465 km (289 miles). The MSRP is CA$62,998 (US$46,873) for this variant.

Topping the 2024 Nissan Ariya family are the Evolve+ e-4ORCE and the Evolve+ e-4ORCE w/Platinum Package. Both models feature the 87 kWh battery pack and bring 389 horsepower (395 ps/290 kW) and 442 pound-feet (599 Nm) of torque to the table. On a full charge, each one can do up to 428 km (266 miles), per the company's estimates. Pricing, in this case, starts at CA$64,998 (US$48,361), with the Platinum Package adding an extra CA$5,000 (US$3,720) to the MSRP.

Nissan's U.S. website reveals that the Ariya is still in the 2023 model year. The lineup comprises the Engage FWD, Venture+ FWD, Engage e-4ORCE AWD, Evolve+ FWD, Engage+ e-4ORCE, Empower+ FWD, Evolve+ e-4ORCE, Platinum+ e-4ORCE, and Platinum+ e-4ORCE with 20-inch wheels. Pricing starts at $43,190 for the most affordable version of the series, which can travel up to 216 miles (348 km) on a single charge. The Platinum+ kicks off at $60,190 and has a 267-mile (430 km) range, and the same version with 20-inch wheels has an identical MSRP and 257 miles (414 km) of range.

Production of the Nissan Ariya commenced two years ago. It comes to life in Japan and China, utilizes the CMF-EV platform, and shares numerous nuts and bolts with the Renault Megane E-Tech and Scenic E-Tech, though it was the Alliance's first model to feature this construction.
