Subsequent to the grand unveiling hosted at the end of July, the Nissan Z Nismo is now up for grabs in Australia. Only 100 units of the sports car will be available in the first delivery run, set to kick off at the end of the year, and the online reservations will open on Thursday, August 10.
Boasting enhanced aerodynamics and more power over the regular model, the new Nissan Z Nismo has an MSRP of AU$94,000 (equal to US$61,700) Down Under, featuring all of the equipment of the normal variant and then some.

In the power department, you’re looking at the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6, which has been boosted to 309 kW (420 ps/414 hp) and 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) of torque, up 11 kW (15 ps/15 hp) and 45 Nm (33 lb-ft). It has a Nismo-tuned nine-speed automatic transmission, a specific chassis tune, and 25 mm (1 in) bigger front brake rotors. Nismo also left its mark on the car's aero, launch control, active sound control, engine cooling, 19-inch alloys, and Sport+ driving mode, and it has different front seats with more side bolstering.

In terms of equipment, you're looking at the usual 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone integration, a 12.3-inch TFT display behind the steering wheel, a drive mode selector, active noise cancellation, and active sound management. The Z Nismo also gets parking sensors at both ends, a reversing camera, intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning, forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning with rear-cross traffic alert, and driver attention alert. Unlike the regular Nissan Z, the Nismo variant doesn't feature heated and electrically-operated front seats.

Other stuff that sets it apart is the revised exterior design with emphasis on the car's sportier side, as well as a few enhancements made to the cabin. For instance, the start/stop button and the drive mode selector have an anodized red look, and the Nismo logo, a special red flash during the start-up animation, and a red outline around the tachometer are visible on the digital instrument cluster. The Recaro front seats were wrapped in leather and Alcantara, and they display the Nismo logo on the headrests, sporting a red center section, too. The steering wheel is also exclusive, featuring leather and Alcantara trim and a 12 o'clock red marker.

Besides the Nismo, Nissan Z customers can also order the 2024 model in Australia, which kicks off at AU$75,800 (US$49,755). It gets a new exterior paint finish called the New Site Orange, a fresh blue interior choice as an option, and brings the same 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo rated at 298 kW (405 ps/400 hp) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) in this case. Besides the nine-speed auto, which is the sole choice on the Nismo, the regular Z is also available with a six-speed manual transmission.
