Now that winter is in full swing and the Tokyo Auto Salon 2019 is just around the corner, Nissan thought that it would be nice to fit snow tracks to the Juke. That’s right; the Juke that’s no longer on sale in the United States because of the Kicks subcompact crossover.
Baptized Juke Personalization Adventure Concept, the one-of-a-kind oddity comes with torque-vectoring AWD for each of the four tracks. Nissan also dares to mention “agility” and “dynamic” in the same sentence, but we’re not buying either of those words. On the other hand, the matte white and matte black theme works like a charm with the flared wheel arches.

We’re not exactly sure of the 19 decals on the rear doors or the grill protections for the fog lights, but then again, this is a concept! It isn’t supposed to make sense, and this can also be said about the roof rack and off-road light bar. The neon green-painted tow hook up front should come in handy whenever the powder is too deep for comfort.

Along with the Juke, another concept has been created for the Tokyo Auto Salon 2019, this time around with the help of Naomi Osaka. The professional tennis player and winner of the U.S. Open lended her help for an X-Trail that appears to have more in common with a serpent than a crossover, mostly due to the pattern of the decals.

Nissan also talks about a two-tone interior, combining tan and black leather upholstery. Despite what the Japanese automaker says, no photo of the cabin has been published up to this point. In all likelihood, Nissan wants us to stay put until the concept goes official in the flesh at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2019.

Aged 21, Naomi Osaka has two WTA titles to her name up to this point. She played her first qualifying match in the ITF Women’s Circuit in 2011 on her 14th birthday, which goes to show how dedicated Osaka is to her trade. Nissan also tapped her for a limited edition of the GT-R for Japan, of which 50 examples will ever be made.
