The mid-size crossover utility vehicle is available with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive for an additional $1,600. The SV and SL kick off at $34,440 and $39,230, and every trim level comes equipped with the 260-horsepower V6 and Xtronic continuously variable transmission.

Displacing 3.5 liters, the DOHC engine is capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds when the Murano is properly equipped (tow hitch receiver, hitch ball mount, high ball, and so forth). Revisions for the 2019 model year include a more pronounced V-motion grille up front, redesigned headlights and taillights with LED technology, new 18- and 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and new exterior colors (Deep Blue Pearl, Mocha Almond Pearl, and Sunset Drift Chromaflair).

The list of enhancements continues inside the Murano, where you’ll find semi-aniline leather upholstery and diamond-quilted inserts on the seats that complement the micro-piping trim. Three new interior trim options were also introduced, coming in the guise of Dark Wood-Tone, Light Wood-Tone, and Metallic.

From a technological standpoint, Rear Door Alert and Intelligent Driver Alertness are joined by Safety Shield 360. The safety suite includes High Beam Assist, Rear Automatic Braking, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

The second row of seats is safer than ever before thanks to the addition of supplemental side air bags while the front passenger benefits from a supplemental knee air bag. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard on all grades, along with 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment. NissanConnect with Navigation is standard on SL and higher trim levels.

Two options are worthy of mention, starting with the SV Premium Package that features Intelligent Around View Monitor, Bose Premium sound system with 11 speakers, and the power panoramic moonroof. The SL Technology Package, on the other hand, adds Safety Shield 360, the power panoramic moonroof, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
