The new Aston Martin Vanquish that’s supposed to replace the DB9 is slower than a Ferrari 458 Italia both around the track and in a straight line. Yet we’d take one over the Maranello Marvel every time.
It seems that its beauty has mesmerized an incredible number of people, as Aston Martin says that Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of last week were record days in terms of web traffic on their official website.

The highest day was Friday, when the online configurator created a frenzy of media attention for the website. It seems that people just couldn’t get enough of the cool colors!

Traffic from the US doubled, while British web surfers were 162 percent more numerous. But it was the Germans that peaked their interest the highest - 2016% percent.

And even though it wasn’t the best quality media creation, only official reveal video for the Vanquish scored about 200,000 views.

Pete Norwood is Digital Marketing Communications Manager at Aston Martin. He said: “The unprecedented interest we’re already seeing in the spectacular new Vanquish from around the world is, I think, a very clear indicator of how exciting our new sports car is. I’m very happy that we’ve been able to generate such compelling content, and look forward to welcoming many more Aston Martin owners, and would-be owners, to our website, Facebook page and Twitter feed over the days, week and months ahead.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
