Mitsubishi Gets Closer to Buyers in the UK

Mitsubishi has just announced the opening of a new dealership in the United Kingdom that will provide sales, service and parts in the Wirral area. Windsor's of Wallasey official began operations today, representing the latest addition to the Japanese manufacturer's 120 dealership network in the United Kingdom.

"We are delighted to be adding the Mitsubishi franchise to our range. We look forward to welcoming existing and new Mitsubishi customers to our dealership at this very exciting time," David Tuomey, Windsor's Motor Group Managing Director, said in a statement.

“Windsor’s Motor Group are joining us at a very good time, the Mitsubishi Dealer Network is at its most profitable for 10 years and over the next 5 years we have many new model introductions with very strong environmental credentials,"
added Alan Rooke, Mitsubishi Motors Franchising Manager in the UK.

“We are delighted that Windsor’s are joining the Mitsubishi franchise, they are a driven dealership and will provide excellent service to both existing and new Mitsubishi customers.”

On a separate front, Mitsubishi is gearing up for the 2011 Geneva Auto Show that opens its doors to the press in about two weeks. The Japanese carmaker will introduce at the Swiss venue the company's new Global Small concept that will preview the Colt replacement, supposed to hit the market later this year or in early 2012.

Not much is known about the concept, except for the fact that it will use small displacement engines for the car, more precisely a 1.0l or a 1.2l powerplant, equipped with regenerative braking, start-stop technology and linked to a new-generation CVT transmission.
