Mitsubishi Donates $100,000 to Queensland Disaster Victims

The automotive industry is constantly making efforts for charity, with a multitude of companies willing to help those in a difficult situation, such as people affected by natural disasters.

We will now turn our attention to Australia, where Mitsubishi Motors Australia Limited (MMAL) and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC), together with the Queensland Mitsubishi Dealer Network, have joined forces with the aim to donate AU$70,000 to the Premier’s Appeal.

The companies will also donate AU$30,000 to the Brisbane City Council Lord City Council Lord Mayor’s Community Disaster Relief Appeal Fund. The money will be used to assist Queenslanders affected by the floods and cyclones that recently devastated the area.

And the story doesn’t end here. As you know, suddenly not being able to satisfy your need for mobility can have severe consequences on everyday life, so the affected people’s automotive needs also have to be covered. The companies also wanted to solve this issue: MMAL will offer fifty short-term loan cars to customers, individuals and organizations that have lost their vehicles in the floods or cyclone.

In addition to that, Mitsubishi’s staff and dealers decided to also lend a hand to those affected by the aforementioned natural disasters, in an effort to make the most out of this campaign, so that the people who are affected really receive the help they need to get over the issue. The employees and dealers managed to raise over AU$10,000 using an in-house online silent auction and raffle, with the contribution being matched by the MMAL management.
