We see renderings all the time; you take a press photo, lower the suspension, add some big wheels and a bumper from some other car and voila - instant shooting brake or Tiguan GTI.
However, these photos aren't renderings in that sense. They require somebody with years of digital painting skills, a perfect understanding of light and a keen eye for current car design trends.
That's why we have to show respect to the 10-strong rendering project by Jennings Motor Group, a UK company that sells both used and new cars from Ford, Mazda, Kia or SEAT.
First on the list is a MINI. While the first cars hit the road back in 1959, the rendered MINI supercar takes the headlights from a concept car, possibly the Rocketman or the Superleggera roadster. It seems very unlikely that the company will attempt a two-seater, especially after the disaster that was the Coupe project.
Renault's supercar is based on the Alpine A110, but it seems to have Paganini-like rear shoulders. The one from Fiat is possibly our favorite because it takes the 124 Spider front end to the next level.
The Acura isn't that interesting because... they already make a supercar. But the Volkswagen is a nice mashup between the Arteon four-door and the Vision Gran Turismo, with its scalloped intakes.
Many people have tried to render a Tesla supercar, so this one is nothing special. It's not like we have to "dream" about the performance either, as the P100D outguns $500,000 Lamborghinis. But have you ever seen a LADA supercar? I bet you haven't.
The ex-Soviet Union car brand is witnessing a renaissance these days and has built several interesting concepts. There's also a race car, so you could say that a Made in Russia exotic isn't as far-fetched as it was 30 years ago.
Finally, we have the crazy smart, which seems like the supercar equivalent of Tupperware, and a Kia with the body of a gazelle and the nose of a tiger. The styling on that thing is so good it could put the Audi R8 out of business.
