If I were to have unlimited funds, I'd probably put together a collection of Plymouth Road Runners. One of each model year from 1968 through 1975. They'd look spectacular parked next to each other, but I wouldn't be the first guy to bring all Road Runners together. Well, here's something you surely haven't seen before: a six-car collection consisting of Ford Pinto station wagons.
But wait, that's not all. Not only do these Pintos share the same body style, they also share the same yellow color. It's hard to believe that someone would obsess over yellow Pinto wagons, but this small collection is proof that it happened to at least one fellow out there. And I'm not judging. In fact, I think he deserves all the praise for having the patience to get a half-dozen vehicles with identical specs.

If you also have a thing for the Pinto wagon and you want one in yellow, it's your lucky day. This collection is for sale. The cars are looking for new owners from Hacienda Heights, California, and they've been online for quite some time. It may have something to do with the price tag, but the lack of information in the ad likely didn't help either.

Albeit short, the ad provides a few important details. For starters, all the Pintos are described as all-original. Based on the photos, they appear to be in good condition. And I'm pretty sure they're also unrestored. Second, only three of them were running and driving when the ad was published. This means they've been in storage for a long time.

The seller doesn't say what's under the hoods of each car but mentions that all of them have manual transmissions. At least one Pinto has a four-cylinder powerplant. Finally, all vehicles have 23,000 to 70,000 original miles (37,015 to 112,654 km), further confirming their long-term storage history.

The one other detail available is a bit confusing. The seller says all six cars are from different years, but there's no actual info beyond the 1974 listed in the title. The Pinto was produced for 10 model years, so further clarification (or documentation) from the owner is needed. I spotted front fascias used from 1974 through 1978 in the photos.

As for the price, the owner is asking $16,000 or best offer for each Pinto. That's a lot of cash for a Pinto in this condition. Sure, I've seen wagons cross the auction block for $15,000 to $22,000 in recent years, but we're talking about pristine and limited-edition examples sold at high-profile events.

But hey, if your dream car collection revolves around a half-dozen Ford Pinto wagons finished in yellow, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. How much would you pay for the entire lot?
