Limited/Special Edition Biante Launched in Japan

Mazda Motor Corporation has just announced that two new editions of its Biante minivan are now available in Japan, with prices starting at 24,700 US dollars (2,198,000 yen). The “Limited Edition” and the “Special Edition” Mazda Biante were especially introduced to bring a new level of equipment, the Japanese carmaker said in a press statement, as the models sport a number of new features such as GPS navigation systems and voice control functions.

“Mazda Motor Corporation has announced the sales launch of limited edition and special edition versions of its mid-size, tall ‘high-roof’ Biante minivan for the Japanese market. These new models go on sale today at all Mazda, Mazda Anfini and Mazda Autozam dealerships throughout Japan,” Mazda said in a press statement today.

The 20S Limited comes with either FWD and five-speed automatic transmission or 4WD and four-speed automatic transmission, both versions powered by a 2.0-liter direct injection engine. The special equipment include dual power sliding doors, advanced keyless entry and start system and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The 20CS Limited provides the same stock features as the aforementioned variant but with different special equipment, now consisting of discharge headlights, cleanable seats and the same leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The Biant 20 NAVI Special version, which by the way is limited to 800 units, comes with a wide range of special features, including parking assist, DVD and CD player, analog television tuner, Bluetooth support, steering-wheel mounted audio controls and six speakers.

There are three exterior colors available for the aforementioned models, namely Crystal White Pearl Mica, Brilliant Black and Lilac Silver Metallic. The most expensive model in the new series is the 20 NAVI Special with 4WD, priced at 2,924,500 yen ($32,900).
