Special Edition of the Mazda Atenza Launched in Japan

Mazda will launch in Japan a special edition model of the Atenza, called the 2.0 style edition, which adds sportiness and high quality features to the Atenza (which is known as the Mazda6 overseas) sedan.

The special Mazda Atenza edition equipped with the new features (whatever that means) will go on sale today in all Mazda dealerships in Japan. The new edition Mazda Atenza is based on the Atenza 20C model, which is powered by a 2.0 liter engine, thus the name of the 2.0 Style Edition Mazda Atenza.

This special edition model comes with sporty features which include LED indicators embedded into the door mirrors, discharge headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

Other gimmicks include fog lights built into the bumper, water-repellent coating, dark tinted glass for the rear doors and rear window, blackout meters and audio-less specification with four speakers.

A choice of six exterior body colors is available, including Lilac Silver Metallic, one of the most popular colors for the Atenza Sedan, and Stormy Blue Mica, which reflects the model’s sporty and high quality character. Neither color is available for the base model Atenza Sedan 20C, the press release mentions.
