After recalling 10 vehicles over the electronic brake booster, Lexus of Australia is much obliged to announce the ES 300h F Sport. The mid-size sedan will arrive in the Land Down Under in October 2019, featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring as standard.
Underpinned by the Toyota GA-K vehicle architecture, the 300h with the F Spot package is treated to specific tuning of the Adaptive Variable Suspension and a signature mesh grille painted in Jet Black. The coupe-like silhouette is further garnished with 19-inch alloy wheels, fender badging, triple-beam LED headlamps, and LED sequential turn indicators.

Every ES 300h F Sport features a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, wireless smartphone charging, satellite navigation, DAB+ radio, Lexus Enform, voice control, and a 10-speaker audio system. 10 exterior colors are available, including an F Sport-exclusive finish called Cobalt Mica.

As far as the interior is concerned, customers are treated to a couple of choices: Flare Red or Black. "Stunning design has contributed to the success of the ES 300h and the F Sport allows customers to embrace even greater visual appeal," said chief executive officer Scott Thompson.

Black roof lining, the Smart Key Card, head-up display, dual-zone climate control, moonroof, rain-sensing wipers, and 10-way power adjustable front seats are also standard. Pricing still isn’t available, but nevertheless, the ES has increased sales in Australia by a whopping 209.3 percent through July 2019 compared to the same period last year.

The seventh generation of the ES launched in the Oz back in September 2018, and the 300h combines an electric motor with an ultra-efficient Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine. 160 kW are plenty for a vehicle in this segment, translating to 218 PS or 215 horsepower.

The eCVT connected to the engine features six stepped ratio and sequential shift technology, and yes, there are paddle shifters on the steering wheel as well. When driven like grandma to Sunday church, the ES 300h is capable of returning 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers on the combined cycle.
