Why would anybody line up a Lamborghini Huracan next to a Porsche 911 GT3 RS in a drag race? After all, the first is what we might call an all-round supercar, while the latter is a track day special. Well, the answer has to do with the velocity giggles delivered by such a battle.
And we're not just here to discuss a hypothetical meeting between the Raging Bull and the Porscha. And that's because the two supercars duked it out earlier this year, with the Neunelfer and the Lambo getting together in Weeze, Germany.
The velocity toys drag raced on an airfield, having all the space they needed to stretch their mechanical legs.
Despite all the differences between them, the Huracan and the GT3 RS also have a few important aspects in common. For one thing, we're talking about two members of an endangered species, since both are animated by naturally aspirated motors.

Both the Lamborghini Huracan and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS pack seven-speed, dual-clutch transmissions, even though the LP610-4 model we have here sends its power to all four wheels, while the Rennsport Neunelfer only burdens its rear wheels.
The drag race involving the two speeding tools used a Christmas Tree and, as you'll get to notice in the clip depicting the sprinting, this made quite a difference.
