Swedish supercar manufacturer Koenigsegg has announced the introduction of a certified pre-owned program for its used vehicles. With a little more than 100 cars built in ten years, Koenigsegg says it “recognized the need to introduce a pre-owned program to facilitate a healthy second hand market” for its hypercars.
According to the automaker, a vehicle needs to undergo a rigorous inspection process and be fully refurbished and updated to a standard set by Koenigsegg, which means that each and every used supercar will be in tip-top shape. The Pre-Owned Certification Program - exclusively for and only available through official Koenigsegg dealers - offers a two-year warranty and free service for any approved pre-owned vehicle.
Meanwhile, the Swedes are working on the Agera-based One:1, a hypercar that will smash Bugatti Veyron’s speed record. Company owner Christian von Koenigsegg claims the new vehicle will reach a top speed of 450 km/h (280 mph) and accelerate from 0 to 400 km/h (248 mph) in only 20 seconds.
