If you want to go fast, while still being on the ground, you could buy many different vehicles, but for the sheer purpose of going as fast as is currently possible in a road car, the choice is very easy, and you end up buying a Koenigsegg Agera R. Now, the Swedish manufacturer has announced that it will be bringing the Agera R to the States, following a very positive reception of the car at The Quail and McCall Motorworks Revivla.
The Agera R is the most extreme vehicle ever made by Koenigsegg, and it is one of the fastest cars on the planet. Powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 powerplant, the Agera R has 1,100 hp and over 1,200 Nm (895 lb-ft) of torque. This means not only super-quick acceleration (0-100 km/h or 0-62 mph in just 2.9 seconds) and a very high top speed (in excess of 390 km/h or 245 mph), but also virtually limitless torque in any gear, meaning that the car can be driven at less than 100% and it will still be faster than anything on the road.
No real information on how or where they will be selling the cars from, but expect them to be very expensive, and for the amount of car you’re getting, it could even be called good value, even if it will be at least $1-million.
