Koenigsegg Agera R in Depth

Koenigsegg left us all speechless when they revealed the Agera R with a high-speed roof-box at the start of the Geneva Motor Show. However, there plenty of questions regarding the car’s performance figures that remained unanswered. Now, Swedish supercar maker has revealed all the juicy details about its exotic supermodel.

Let’s start with the performance aspect! The Agera R promises to live up to the company’s reputation for insane speed, as it can sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, while 0 to 200 km/h (124mph) takes only 7.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the 0-200-0 km/h (0-124mph-0) is dealt with in a mere 12.7 seconds, thanks in part to its ventilated carbon ceramic brakes. If you are brave enough and have a long enough stretch of asphalt at your disposal, than the Agera R can take you all the way to its top speed of over 420 km/h (261 mph).

The Agera R is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 mill that develops 1,115 horsepower at 6,900 rpm when running on E85 ethanol. However the car can also run on 95 octane petrol (940HP), or 98 octane (1,050HP).

The standard equipment list includes dual airbags, detachable storable hardtop with glass roof, power windows, adaptive rear wing, adjustable pedals and steering column, Agera stitching, adjustable seats in rake and length, carbon ceramic brakes with Sport ABS, hydraulic lifting system, power steering, power brakes, extra 4 point seatbelts for track use. satnav, Intelligent LifePo4 battery, MP3 player, USB connection, climate control, digital warning and info system, G sensor, alarm, tyre monitoring system, silver key, leather carpets, roof storage bag, car cover.

The supercar manufacturer has also reveled a long options list that includes visible carbon body, front winglets, rear view camera, that strange roof-box, skis, Inconel exhaust system and winter wheel package.
