When you hear about events like the Gran Turismo Nurburgring that took place last week, you imagine that these include tons of cation, but sometimes reality beats your imagination and this is one of those times: a Koenigsegg Agera R managed to hit 249.54 mph (401.6 km/h) on the Nordschleife’s main straight during the aforementioned event.
The 1,200 hp monster was being manhandled by Norwegian Bård Eker, who also owns a part of the carmaker, who may have decided to floor it on the 1.5-mile (2.4 km) Dottinger-Hohe straight for marketing purposes or not. In fact, it doesn’t even matter, since we were all ofered the awesome show.
The feat was captured in the adjacent video, which shows Dale from Bridge To Gantry in a Pagani Zonda F Clubsport chase car. Before you hit the “play” button, we have to tell you what the Koenigsegg driver had to say about the run: “No problems with stability under extreme speeds. The tarmac was a little bumpy while braking so It was quite exciting before the left turn.”
