E-bikes have greatly evolved over the last few years. From bulky, awkward machines with limited battery life, they have slowly developed into lighter, more appealing, and more powerful two-wheelers. That's because riders nowadays are looking for fast electric bikes that can offer them the perfect combination of style and performance.
With this in mind, Juiced Bikes has introduced a groundbreaking new e-bike capable of offering the ultimate blend of style, speed, and efficiency. It's called JetCurrent Pro and walks the fine line between an e-bike and a low-powered motorcycle. Equipped with a 1,200W electric motor that peaks at 2,000W and a top speed of 34 mph (55 kph) with electric assist, the San Diego-based company claims this is one of the most powerful and fastest e-bikes ever made.

Juiced Bikes, a pioneer in the electric bikes realm, has always strived to create models that offer riders more power and speed. With a sleek design and a powerful motor, the newly unveiled JetCurrent Pro brings that sought-after dynamic look and an exhilarating riding experience. But while the impressive performance may be the real selling point of this beast of an e-bike, Juiced also wanted to offer riders convenience and easy portability, so the JetCurrent Pro comes with a folding design that allows riders to stow it away in the trunk of their cars for transportation between rides or store it in a closet at home.

Juiced Bikes founder Tora Harris has stated that the team's goal with the newcomer is to set new standards in the folding e-bike category. "As a pioneer in the field of electric bikes, our journey began over 15 years ago, with the first e-bike that I converted in a garage, which was a folding bike," he explained. "This product represents everything we have learned over the past 15 years, this new endeavor is a testament to our dedication and unwavering pursuit of advancement. [...]The folding e-bike category is dominated by toy-like products, so we saw an opportunity to redefine what was possible."

The JetCurrent Pro is the first e-bike to come with the company's PowerBlade electronics platform, which comprises a custom-designed 1,200W rear-hub motor and a 40-amp Edge controller. The setup results in 2,000W of peak power and 105 Nm (77 lb-ft) of torque. Supporting all that power is a new 52V 19.2Ah removable battery - one of the largest batteries in the industry - that is said to deliver more than 70 miles (113 km) of assisted riding per charge. The battery also has a hidden Airtag compartment so owners will be able to locate the bike or the battery in case they misplace it or it gets stolen.

The JetCurrent Pro comes standard in Class 2 mode for commuting at a top speed of 20 mph (32 kph) but can be configured to run in Class 3 from the backlit LCD display. When you want to ride off-road, the bike can be fully unlocked into Track Mode and reach 30 mph (48 kph) on throttle-only and 34 mph (55 kph) with pedal assist. For flexible pedaling options, the e-bike comes equipped with a Shimano Altus 7-speed shifter and derailleur.

In terms of design, the JetCurrent Pro boasts a low-step folding frame made from 6061 aluminum and a custom-designed "moped-rated" suspension fork with robust locking dropouts that are three times thicker than typical e-bike forks. For comfortable and reliable rides, the bike rolls on 20-inch wheels shod in knobby CST tires that can definitely handle unbeaten paths. Stopping power is ensured by Gemma G3 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with a 203-mm rotor up front and 180 mm at the rear. What's more, the JetCurrent Pro is rated for a "wobble-free” 300 lb of payload.

Its distinctive form factor is meant to accommodate a wide range of rider heights, while the folding mechanism allows it to shrink to just 30.7 x 43.4 x 21 inches (780 x 1,105 x 535 mm) in transportation mode. However, it will require some muscle to be carried up the stairs, as it weighs a hefty 92.6 lb (42 kg), including the battery.

Other noteworthy features that make it a worthy companion in any situation include a newly designed 1,050-lumen LED headlight that also integrates a 100dB horn. A left-side folding mirror, turn signals, and a braking tail light ensure great visibility in traffic, and the bike also comes with a motion-activated alarm, polypropylene fenders front and back, a 50-lb aluminum rear rack for your hauling needs, and USB device charging.

Designed to complement the dynamic lifestyle of both urban commuters and off-road enthusiasts, the JetCurrent Pro is an absolute rocket that can offer thrilling rides in any environment. The e-bike is now available for pre-order with a $2,799 price tag. Deliveries are expected to start in early June, and you can have it in four different colors, including Black, Indigo Blue, Desert Tan, and Purple Haze.
