More suspense comes from Jorge Lorenzo and his manager Wilco Zeelenberg, as subtle declarations start to surface. According to GP-Inside, Lorenzo openly stated that he wants the best bike in the show, but at the moment it's not the Yamaha.
While rumors of Honda and Lorenzo getting closer have already sprung out in the wild, things are far more complex, as the Mallorcan is no hopper form one brand to the other and his relationship with Yamaha has already gone a long way, dramatically improving the bike lately.

The introduction of the seamless gearbox helped Lorenzo win 4 races in the last 6, whereas the former bike only got him 4 wins out of 12 rounds.

Even if Yamaha now looks behind asking themselves whether the seamless should have been introduced earlier, it looks like Lorenzo's team is determined to get revenge in 2014 and do their best to helkp him claw his crown back.

Now, the 2014 MotoGP Championship is only started on paper, and there's still a month until we get the the first taste of action in Sepang... but this does not mean that the main players are not looking ahead in 2015. The end of 2014 also brings an end to the contracts of the top 4 riders, and decisions will have to be made.

And that's why the first half-season will be a most interesting one...
