Nissan has announced the introduction of the new iManual app for the Micra, a smartphone app that will make “motorists’ lives easier by simplifying the car manual.”
Developed to squeeze all of the information contained within the Micra’s manual into one software application, the iManual, which also incorporates visual recognition software that enables owners to identify dashboard symbols and switches by using the phone’s camera, can be used on both Apple and Android smartphones.
Nissan says that the iManual was created following a recent online survey which most owners gave up using their car’s manual after they couldn’t find the information they needed. Only 57 percent of Nissan owners had consulted their manual at least once, bunt only 13 percent did it more than twice.
The iManual app for Apple can be downloaded for free from iTunes, while the one for Android is available on Google Play.
