Dorna has released a new provisional MotoGP calendar for 2014, and the biggest change from the initial version is a shuffle between the three overseas rounds of the autumn, also known as the triple header.
The dates for the races have not been modified, but the circuits switched places. The Japan GP at Motegi is now the first in the series, whereas it used to be the last. This may be because of the iffy weather late in the autumn, the same weather which gave a hard time to Honda and Stoner with their tests and which disturbed the very race this year.
The Grand Prix classes will then fly over to Phillip Island in Australia, with the Malaysian round at Sepang ending the triple header.
MotoGP.com also informs that the Spanish round at Jerez is no longer Subject to Contract (STC), but the Brazilian circuit Autodromo Brasilia Nelson Piquet is still Subject to Homologation (STH). FIM and Dorna granted the Brazilian circuit owners some more month until the homologation must be done.
We remind you that the kick-off round in Qatar is still an evening race and the TT Assen one in Holland is a Saturday race.
