Say what you may like, but Koenigsegg is a brand that should get more attention now and then, and for good and obvious reasons: their cars are fast, technologically impeccable and look more exotic than a passion fruit.
I remember seeing a Koenigsegg for the first time in a video for E-Type's "Life" song. The Eurodance band came from Sweden, so the appearance of a Koenigsegg CCV8S in one of their music vids is not a pure coincidence.

However, with Jay Leno, it's another story. Besides owning a car collection what would make any petrolhead suddenly pass out, Jay Leno has access to a lot of automotive goodies. And when Christian von Koenigsegg come with a Koenigsegg Trevita CCXR to show off in your show, you know you're the man.

We've seen dozens of cars making an appearance on Jay Leno's Garage, and each one has a unique feature. This also applies to the Trevita CCXR. You see, 'trevita' means 'three white' in Swedish. Therefore, the car was only built in a limited edition of three hand-crafted units.

On the outside, the Trevita CCXR sports a carbon fiber body kit, but under that exterior shell lies a bespoke 4.8-liter V8 good for 1,018 HP. That's as much as you'll find in the Bugatti Veyron, but with half the weight on the car's shoulders.

Sure, your mind can fantasize about blasting acceleration bursts, and there's plenty of that in the video. However, the way Christian von Koenigsegg dissects and explains every detail of the supercar is mesmerizing for any petrolhead, so make sure you pay attention to that bit in the video too.
