Isuzu has just rolled out out the limited-edition D-Max V-Cross STEEL Edition, trying to send the pickup truck into the premium market. Only 300 such examples will see the light of day, and all will be marketed in the United Kingdom.
Based on the highest specification in the lineup, the Adventure, the all-new Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Edition will come with the exclusive STEEL Grey Mica color and will be equipped with bespoke accessories, which will take its rugged appearance to a whole new level.

The model comes with a wheel arch fender flare kit in Dark Grey and rear arch extensions in the same shade. It gets a matching Isuzu badge on the radiator grille, electric folding mirrors, and a bespoke tailgate assist and damper.

To make sure everyone notices it is a special edition, Isuzu embossed the STEEL lettering on the headrests. As strange as it may seem to find "luxury" and Isuzu in the same phrase, the STEEL also shows up on what the automaker refers to as a "luxury carpet mat set."

STEEL graphics also show up on the body of the vehicle. There are STEEL-branded LED scuff plates, and when the door pops open, the STEEL lettering is projected on the ground. The STEEL badge also shows up on the tailgate.

Isuzu claims that the limited-run pickup truck is designed for those who are in search of reliability, toughness, but also style. The automaker describes it as “crafted to perfection,” highlighting both its style and functionality. The model is equipped with Bi-LED headlights and windscreen wipers.

It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, sports parking sensors, and a reverse camera, to make things easier on board. It is also easy to get on board thanks to the keyless entry and side steps.

Power seats with power lumbar support, a dual-zone climate control, and a 9-inch touchscreen bring all the necessary comfort on board.

The D-Max V-Cross STEEL Edition keeps the pickup truck capabilities specific to the model. This means that the future owners will get the pickup truck with all-wheel drive and a rear differential lock, plus the one-ton payload and the 3.5-ton towing capacity.

Isuzu markets it as the first pickup in the United Kingdom to feature the Advanced Driver Assist Systems as standard across the range.

The model made its debut at the Commercial Vehicle Show at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham and is set to hit the market on May 6. Those who want to drive it home have to contact authorized Isuzu dealerships.

They will be able to choose one of the two versions available: with a six-speed Samual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The manual variant starts at 38,495 pounds, while the automatic can be purchased for 39,995 pounds. The electric version won't get the STEEL badging.
