Kim Kardashian was banned by Ferrari from ever buying a brand-new car for the rest of her life. This is the rumor that has been snowballing for ages. But is it really so? Let's dig in.
Kim Kardashian labels herself as a "car girl." She does have a garage that looks like a car show. A few Rolls-Royces, Lamborghinis, Maybachs, a Bentley Continental, and now, a Cybertruck are just a few of the models she owns and constantly drives herself.

She admitted that she enjoys driving and would totally dislike being chauffeured around. With such a fleet of luxury and sports cars, who can blame her?

But her relationship with Ferrari seems to have been a little tense for over a decade. The last time she was seen driving a Ferrari was in 2012. And it wasn't one that she had bought herself. It was a 458 Italia that she allegedly received from a Malaysian businessman.

Rumor has it that Jho Take Low, a businessman suspected of fraud and corruption, who was invited to Kim's wedding with Kris Humphries in 2011, originally offered her a carriage with a horse. What would she do with a carriage in Los Angeles? Kim asked for a white Ferrari instead.

According to a Bloomberg report, she was subsequently questioned by the US authorities in relation to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd scandal, in which Jho Low was also involved. The FBI documents were released after they were submitted to US prosecutors.

There is no information about what became of Kim's Ferrari, but one thing is sure: it is not in her possession anymore. Her name, however, showed up on an unofficial black list containing names of people that the Maranello-based brand reportedly banned from ever buying a new Ferrari.

Names like Justin Bieber, 50 Cent, and Floyd Mayweather were also there. We all know that Justin Bieber modified his Ferrari and then auctioned it off. However, the exact reason for banning all these celebrities was never made public by the Italian automaker. Furthermore, Ferrari never officially confirmed the ban.

In 2022, Ferrari clarified the situation and announced that the brand did not veto any customer, according to the Spanish publication Marca. Therefore, Kim can still buy series production models with the Prancing Horse badge. But she won't be able to purchase the limited-run special editions.

"Ferrari reserves the right to decide on special editions," the Italians said in a statement.

There is no reason to shed a tear because she can't get a limited-run Ferrari. She can drive her Maybachs instead. Or Rolls-Royces. Or Lamborghinis. Or Tesla Cybertruck.

The 43-year-old billionaire has recently been spotted driving her brand-new Cybertruck to Starbucks. She faced instant backlash because her outing seemed every inch a staged advert for Starbucks.

The PR stunt would reportedly help the international coffee chain to counter an $11 billion loss following global calls for a boycott.
