We’ve already seen the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge live in the flesh and the automaker has released video of the car screaming around the track, but Infiniti is about to unleash its GT-R-powered sedan at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Although Infiniti reiterates that the Q50 Eau Rouge has not been green lit for production, it said that the car “has reached a further step forward towards a production version with a full-working prototype now undergoing tests and evaluation.”

It will be this full-working prototype that will be on location at the historic Goodwood Estate making the hill climb and being available for visitors to get an up-close look at. Infiniti says it will continue to listen to feedback from customers, but the fact that this car is about to be paraded around out in public is a good indication as to its production potential.

On the course, the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge will be driven by two members of the Infiniti Red Bull race team, Christian Horner, Infiniti Red Bull Racing team principal and Sebastian Buemi, Infiniti Red Bull Racing's test/reserve driver.

One of the best parts of the Goodwood Festival of Speed is the access that visitors have to drivers, and Buemi will be available for a question and answer session. Team drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel will not be in attendance at Goodwood, but Vettel has played a key role in the development of the Q50 Eau Rouge as Infiniti’s Director of Performance.

The Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge was first unveiled (sans engine) at the Detroit Auto Show in January, and then in March the car’s high-power engine was finally revealed. If produced, it would be the most powerful Infiniti with the Nissan GT-R’s 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6 under the hood cranking out 568 hp.
