How do you deal with the extremely compact living spaces of micro campers? Well, one way is to be creative and come up with genius storage and organization hacks. Today, I'm checking out a stealthy micro camper van build that integrates some clever features.
If you're the kind of person who likes having lots of stuff (so basically not a minimalist), you'll probably have a hard time moving into a micro camper. However, there are things you can do to make sure you can fit as many things inside.

Take Eva and her 2013 Ford Transit Connect converted into a full-time mobile home as an example. I've covered multiple micro camper builds based on Transit Connects before, and this one is definitely at the top of the list.

On the outside, you can't tell this vehicle houses somebody inside. Moreover, it's finished in white, making it blend in even better. This was all done on purpose, as Eva wanted the rig to be as stealthy as possible, especially since she's a solo female traveler. However, there are 200 W solar panels on the roof, but you can't see them while looking at the rig from the side.

Pop open the two rear doors, and you'll be greeted by a cozy and minimalistic interior with wood all around. Let me start things off from the front. Above the driver's cabin, you'll find a spacious headliner shelf. Furthermore, Eva integrated a ceiling Maxxair fan, and she also added a small fan.

By the way, you'll notice the driver's cabin isn't separated from the living space – van dwellers usually do this to make the space feel more like a home, but when it comes to micro campers, it makes the already small interior feel even more cramped. That being said, it can still work, as shown by this micro camper build.

The kitchen is located on the driver's side of the interior – yes, you read that right, there's a kitchen inside. Alright, "kitchen" might not be the best term, but it's still got the essentials. It features a tiny sink made from a stainless steel mixing bowl and various cabinets and drawers.

The sink's plumbing system is fitted in a cabinet underneath – it's very straightforward, boasting a foot pump connected to a 6-gallon (23-liter) freshwater canister and a 2.5-gallon (9.5-liter) greywater tank. Moreover, regarding design, Eva installed a colorful tiled backsplash sticker and a big letter "E," giving the place some personality.

Eva can create additional counter space when she wants to cook by flipping up a countertop extension and using that spot to hold a portable two-burner propane stove. For extra safety, Eva added a fire alarm nearby, which she set off once – it's good that she has it, but since the place is so small, it's not that difficult to keep watch of the stove at all times.

One simple and crafty solution I'm fond of is another cabinet door that can be flipped down to serve as a table. It's supported by hinges, but Eva added an extra measure to make sure it doesn't break from the weight. You surely know those retractable badge holders – well, she added one in the corner and attached the end of the cord to the table – this way, it offers extra support and makes it easier for you to flip it back up.

A cubby underneath the cabinet I just mentioned holds various items, such as a trash can, a vacuum, and a screen cover to prevent bugs from coming in if Eva wants to sleep with the rear doors open.

Another spot under the kitchen houses part of the camper's electrical system: a 200 Ah lead-acid battery and a 1,000 W inverter. Eva added a battery-to-battery charger underneath the driver's seat, which charges the system while driving. She also has the 200 W solar panels I mentioned earlier. These two setups ensure enough juice to charge the computer and other devices via AC outlets. It's critical for Eva to use her laptop, as she works as a software developer.

The couch/bed is made up of three benches - the one near the front houses an Iceco dual-zone fridge/freezer mounted on a drawer slide. What's more, when Eva wants to go to sleep, she can extend a wooden frame out of two of the benches and create a twin-size bed. The space left in between the beds can be covered with a flip-up extension.

Even though Eva could place her laptop on the countertop or on one of the extra tables, she wanted to have a dedicated workspace. That came in the form of a drop-down table mounted on the passenger side wall.

The bench in the middle of the couch/bed is removable, so she can place her feet there while working – it's such a simple yet practical solution. Moreover, she even has a monitor she can use. For Wi-Fi, she installed a mobile hotspot.

Next to the office table, Eva integrated two outlets and two USB plugs, as well as a wall-mounted CD player, which also serves as a Bluetooth speaker and can be controlled via a remote. By the way, the space underneath the couch/bed is used for storage.

The final part of this micro camper I want to talk about is also the largest storage space in the rig. Open the passenger side sliding door, and the entire space between the passenger side wall and the door serves as a closet. This is where Eva holds clothes, two skateboards, winter clothes, a solar shower, tools, and much more – to be honest, it's mind-blowing how much stuff she managed to fit in there.

All in all, Eva's micro camper packs a surprising number of features considering its compact size while not looking or feeling cluttered. It's also aesthetically pleasing and can easily blend in due to its inconspicuous exterior look, allowing Eva to stealth camp. What's more, I bet it didn't cost that much to build, given she made it herself.
