Enthusiasts can rejoice – BMW has revealed they decided to bring a 700+ horsepower station wagon to the United States. Naturally, everyone is over the moon, and the heated discussion surrounding the G90 series was reignited.
The Bavarian automaker introduced the eighth generation G80 and G61 BMW 5 Series in May last year, and sales kicked off later that year in the fall with the new iteration based on the rear-wheel drive Cluster Architecture (CLAR) platform shared with the G70 BMW 7 Series but without many of its controversial design traits.

However, not everyone was satisfied with the styling of the new business sedan – and some even worry that the issues will trickle down to the M5 flagship later this year. For now, that's anyone's guess, but some folks don't want to risk disappointment and are taking matters into their own hands – or rather, at the tip of their CGI brush if they are part of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators.

Naturally, the recent revelation that the G90/91 BMW M5 sedan and Touring are both coming to America has reignited the flame of passion for the high-performance business model – and all over the world, not just in the US. Even across the parallel universes of vehicular CGI, of course, as attested by Avante, the UK-based digital creator behind avantedesigns_ on social media, who has taken a CGI swing at BMW's upcoming M5 high-performance business sedan.

This pixel master is a big fan of the current BMW M5 iteration, so he decided to try and avoid the classic mixed reaction process by CGI-narrating his unofficial version pretty close to the F90 from the front and akin to the G60 from the rear. This author is also fond of ritzy body shades, so he presented his unofficial take on the M5 matters dressed in burgundy and liquid silver, just for good measure.

As for what the rumor mill has to say about the technical characteristics, the next iteration is believed to arrive with the same powertrain as the one used in the BMW XM, though with a different output. Here is where everything is getting murky – some say it will have 700 horsepower, others say it will surge to 718 ponies, and a few even claim that it's hitting the 750-hp threshold with its new PHEV credentials.

However, don't start rejoicing just yet and skip the Mercedes-AMG G 63 S and Audi RS6 Avant mockery because the same reports claim the BMW M5 will be a heavy beast – 5,368 pounds or 2,435 kilograms, which is making everyone worried sick about its handling credentials despite all the spied prototypes running around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. So, what do you think about these renderings? Would you prefer the next BMW M5 to look like this?
