How to Replace Rear Hatch Handle on Toyota Sequoia

Sometimes, plastic parts broke and since the rear hatch handle of a Toyota Sequoia as a lot of plastic in its structure, it may break.
Luckily, you can replace it at home with some basic tools, like some screwdrivers and a bent one, a 10mm ratchet as well as the spare one. Here are the steps:

If the tail gate is closed and the handle is broken, remove it and use the bent screwdriver to click in the little hook inside the locking mechanism while you push the gate upwards.

Next, use a flat head screwdriver to pop out the hatch’s interior trim panel to gain access to the actual locking mechanism.

Now, just use the ratchet and take out those two nuts holding it in place to replace the whole assembly.
