If the TRAC OFF and VSC lights pop up on your Toyota, Lexus or Scion when you drive off, you might want to recalibrate the steering angle sensor.
The procedure is very simple and all you need is a paperclip. Here are the steps to follow:
  • Set the steering wheel dead straight
  • Turn OFF the ignition
  • Make an U shape out of the paperclip like in the video bellow
  • Locate the vehicle’s OBD connector
  • Use the paperclip and connect the fifth upper pin with the one bellow, counting from the right
  • Turn the ignition ON
  • Let the two warning lights on the dash blink for about 5 seconds until they change the blink frequency and then turn the ignition OFF
  • Remove the paperclip
  • Star the car.
