If for some reason you damaged your Toyota Corolla radiator, you can fix small leaks using some silicone adhesive.
Its a simple job and you only need some quality silicone, like the kind used to form a gasket between two engine parts, a 10 and 12mm socket with wrench, wipes, cleaning alcohol and a thin flathead screwdriver. Some Sika Gasket silicone like the one in the video bellow should work fine. Here are the steps:
- Let the engine cool off completely
- Remove the two bolts fixing the radiator according to the video
- Scrape all the dirt around the leaking zone
- Clean it with alcohol to get rid of any grease
- Wipe the area with a clean wipe
- Apply the gasket silicone in a homogenous layer
- Let it dry out completely and then start the engine
- Wait for the engine to warm and circulate water through the radiator to see if it’s still leaking.
