Social media is a dangerous place these days. Regarding cars, there's always someone building your dream project: a four-rotor RX-7, a 1,500-hp Supra, a twin-turbo GT500, and so on. If you start comparing yourself to them, you're bound to become unhappy.
So always remember to cherish your car and, generally speaking, your life because there's always someone who has it way worse than you do. To be happy, you don't need a room filled with thousands of Hot Wheels collectibles. You can feel equally satisfied with a line-up of 50 cool items.

So, instead of buying in bulk without planning, pick a casting you're fond of and get all its iterations. And that's exactly what I plan to do with the '67 Ford Bronco. I discovered how much I need it a few weeks ago while discussing the most exciting vehicles in the Hot Wheels Ford Garage.

But now I'm serious about acting on it and purchasing each variation within the next 12 months. As mentioned earlier, you need to plan things. If you're well-organized, reaching the goal will be easier and maybe even cheaper. So, without further ado, let's see what this tiny collection entails.

Brendon Vetuskey designed this casting more than a decade ago. It debuted in the 2011 Hot Wheels Garage: Ford series, with four iterations from the get-go. Some of you might enjoy the simplicity of the Baby Blue/White combo on the First Edition. Others might like the additional decals on the tan/black model. Both feature Off-Road Real Riders 5-Spoke wheels, but the latter is more difficult to find.

I could only spot one listing on eBay; the owner is asking $99. It would be cheaper without Vetuskey's autograph, but the last time I looked it up, I couldn't find one. The Satin Red '67 Ford Bronco was exclusive to the Ford vs GM 20-car set. If you'd like the whole package, it will cost between $250 and $450, but some people will sell you the Bronco for around $30.

The Metallic Olive Green model is one of my favorites, and it was exclusively available with the 30-car set that year. You'll need an additional $300 if you want to go big; otherwise, a $30 to $40 budget will get you the Bronco. The fifth iteration of the Bronco came along in 2012 as part of the Nostalgic Brands: Nose Art series.

It was one of the highlights of that set, alongside the Baja Breaker and the Customized C3500. It signaled the return to the original 5-spoke wheel design, which would stand out as a perfect pair for the vehicle over the next years. The "Lucky Lady 13" nose art brings some aircraft vibes to the Bronco without raising its value out of reach.

In 2013, this casting joined the Pop Culture series, becoming its "home" for its remaining shelf life. Featuring a yellow, white, and red finish with Archie-inspired graphics, it brought a more lively tone to the iconic off-roader. Still, it's one of the more affordable variations on the market, with its base price as low as $9.

In 2014, the '67 Ford Bronco paid tribute to Marvel, featuring Daredevil graphics over a black, yellow, and red paint job. Can you believe this character is 60 years old already? You'll notice two interesting details about this iteration: it has a matching red interior, and the tires have Marvel Comics lettering. You can purchase it for as little as $11 with any luck.

The next variation might seem puzzling at first. After all, how can there be a connection between SpongeBob and the Bronco? The thing is that this version features Larry the Lobster, a muscular character from the show that you may or may not remember. The metallic blue finish makes perfect sense, given they all lived "under the sea." And just like with the Archie-themed Bronco, you could buy this one for less than $10.

Mattel developed a special model for the 15th Annual Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals the following year. There are only 2,000 units of this black and blue Bronco, and it's no wonder it has black and orange flames running down the sides. Prices for this collectible start at $100 and can go up to $150. Given its rareness, I expected it to be at least twice as expensive. So, I'd call that a bargain if you can get it for less than $100!

I have been a huge Star Wars fan my entire life, although I feel almost hurt watching anything outside the first six movies. The 2016 Pop Culture: Ralph McQuarrie Star Wars Concept Art made a strong impression on me. The card art is phenomenal, and so is the Bronco. Palpatine is only present on one side, while the other shows the father-and-son duo of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.

I've never had Pixy Stix before, but I'm still into the funky look of the 2017 Nestle Bronco. Metalflake Purple works like a charm here, and the white interior further adds to the excitement. We haven't seen a new variation of the '67 Bronco casting since 2019. That's when the diecast manufacturer rolled out the Collector Edition item, which was pretty special in Spectraflame Orange and white.

I'm happy the designers didn't ruin it with an oversized Hot Wheels logo, and it's easy to see how some people have listed this product for as much as $70 on the open market. I've done the math, and the complete collection of 12 castings will cost between $370 and $600. That's what you'd expect to pay for a Sony PlayStation 5. While the console's value is bound to decrease over time, the tiny Hot Wheels collection will stay at the same level or even bring some profit if you can look after it properly.
